Worship & Music

Music is an extraordinary gift from God! It encourages our hearts to worship him. It communicates to our minds his greatness and majesty. Through music, we praise and thank God, proclaim truths about God to the world, and teach and admonish one another. At Camelback Bible Church, there are many opportunities for all ages to serve the Lord with your musical talents while experiencing fellowship with other musicians.
 
New musicians are always welcome. Membership is open to any adult who regularly attends Camelback Bible Church and is a believing Christian. All individuals who would like to participate in worship must meet with the Director of Classical Worship or Director of Contemporary Worship, and have a musical interview prior to joining an ensemble.

CAMELBACK ARTS

Camelback Arts, a ministry of Camelback Bible Church, exists to glorify God and refresh the soul through performances and exhibitions of visual and musical excellence, rooted in a sacred space that welcomes and inspires the community. Camelback Arts events include the Fisk Organ Recital Series, the annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, Service of Darkness (Good Friday), and Create-A-Thon, a juried art event held every February.

Sanctuary Choir

The choir is a family of teen through adult believers who want to explore scripture and the Christian life through music. The choir seeks to develop the musical gifts of every member and build community within the ensemble. The choir sings weekly in the Classical Worship Service and leads the worship services at the Festival of Lessons & Carols (Christmas Eve) and the Service of Darkness (Good Friday). The choir also leads  special performances and outreach events throughout the year. 
Contemporary Worship Team

If you sing or play an instrument, there are many opportunities to serve. This team  is made up of vocalists, guitarists, drummers, bass players, keyboardists, and pianists.   The team serves primarily for  the Contemporary Service that meets in the Family Life Center at 11am.

Handbells

The Handbell Ensemble rehearses weekly and consists of teens through adult ringers. This ensemble participates in several Sunday Classical Worship Services, as well as in several of our special holiday themed services throughout the year.


Children's Music

Children in grades K-8 can participate in Children's Music, which includes both handbell and vocal choir. Through these choirs, children will learn about God’s word through music and worship, how to read music, and how to work as a team. The choirs contribute musical offerings several times a year during the Classical Worship Service. Parents do not need to be attenders of Camelback Bible Church in order for their children to join. Parents are also welcome to help out in a variety of ways!
